Welcome to MIP4-IES
MIP4-IES is the latest and greatest released specification for the Exchange of Command & Control (C2) Information. This specification has been released by the Multilateral Interoperability Programme (MIP). There will be regular updates published to these specification. The initial (minimum) version to implement was 4.3, newer versions were supposed to be backward compatible to the MIP4-IES 4.3. The latest version MIP4-IES 4.4 is however incompatible with 4.3 in almost every aspect. It is the intent of the Multilateral Interoperability Programme (MIP) to ensure backward compatibility from now on.
